Bennett thinks something is chasing them out of the water and that is what we really need to fight, but Notta is gonna fight the giants because they seem threatening. I cast fly on Notta, Shell, and Ottie. ## In Session [[Synod Superus]] Skyship has moved to the northwest by cresting over the mountains. - moving faster than we would expect for a celebratory Goodyear blimp Shit is about to happen. [[Ankalagon]] is out too. We need to get to the northwest over the mountain. Something is breaking through an undersea barrier. The lights are all turning red. Three storm giants have appeared. I cast fly on Notta, Shell, and Ottie. Male giant says: - “We have heard the call” ``` 24 - Ottie 24 - Giants 23 - Nerissa 19 - Notta 18 - Hama Brighthammer 17 - Tova or whatever the civilization cleric is called 16 - Champion of Ioun 16 - Vaelis Veil 15 - Shellonius 14 - leaf 13- Keansey 12 - Eimloc Military 11- Blaze 10 - Stuff **Round 1** - Ottie is doing some good damage - Vaelis Veil disappeared - the giants are looking for someone (something?) **Round 2** - The giants seem to want to press the attack. **Round 3** - Storm giant is starting to fly - Giant is making the yacht yaw - There’s a third storm giant - Notta is 120 feet in the air - Lusaka killed one of the storm giants - “Child, I’m not the one you need to worry about” - Vaelis Veil whispers in keansy’s ear. **Round 4** - Storm giant looks to the northeast. - Storm giant starts submerging and heading away. - Notta is 90 feet above sea level. - Shell’s hawk takes out the last storm giant. ``` Flying spirit HP: 20, AC: 13, 1d8+6 +6 to hit Hawk: HP: 44 AC 15, 1d4+5, +6 to hit [[Rhyss]] and [[Taria]] are missing. [[Saint Rennick]] is taking us to interrogate a storm giant. We are reaching ahead of the Synod airship. Notta cast detect thoughts: - there is a compulsion in the brain of the storm giant - Similar relationship to the one I have with my patron, something grasping - The compulsion lingers Notta is going to ask questions: - why are you here? - “The little ones bearing threats from the storm lord, quaint” - what is this compulsion - The call the resonance with what has come before - Where are you being called to - Looked to the northeast - have you been called before? - There are remnants that speak to them. - We are as old as the foundational elements of this world. - Why start a fight you could not win? - It wasn’t a fight, it was a search - you don’t even know what walks among you Neruda went to find her brother: - she touches her brother to check for injuries - This type of attack is very unusual - The synod used sky cannons to take out the giants, was it a show of force to try to make the synod seem extra important? Synod has shown up. Storm giant does not respect mayor. Saint Rennic implores the mayor (and really the Synod) to have mercy on the giant.
