Bar in [[Vonarum]].
The Silver Pike is owned by a widowed man and his male business partner, both of whom are members of a race that is common in the area. One of the owners has no hidden secrets or unusual quirks, but the other secretly runs an underground fight club in the basement of the tavern. Before owning the tavern, one of the owners traveled the countryside as a merchant's guard, while the other made a living as a writer. The inspiration for the tavern's name was a story from the owner's past. It is a tavern of squalid quality, and its main draw is their convenient location.
The bartender at The Silver Pike is a middle-aged male dwarf who is unsettlingly ugly. He is often truly humorous in disposition. His skin is bronzed, and he has blue hair, kept in a long, straight style. Physically, he is blocky.
On a typical night, the clientele at The Silver Pike can be described as eminently loud. On this occasion, there are a couple other people currently in the tavern. They are playing some kind of guessing game.
The rooms for rent at The Silver Pike are considerably average sized and noticeably filthy. There are currently two rooms available for rent. The cost for a night's stay is 7 cp. If the party spends the night in the tavern, sounds of cheering, shouting, and struggling echo from the basement of the tavern.
